Extension table mechanisms
Extension tables use various mechanisms—butterfly leaves, sliding rails, drop-down sections, or removable inserts. We understand how each system works and disassemble them without damaging the slides, hinges, or locking mechanisms. Extension leaves are wrapped and labelled separately.
Glass-topped tables
Glass dining tables require careful handling. We remove glass tops first, using suction cups for large pieces, and wrap them in protective blankets. Metal or timber bases are then disassembled and labelled. Glass tops should ideally travel separately in a padded vehicle.
Heavy solid timber tables
Solid timber tables can weigh 100kg+ when assembled. We separate tops from bases to make handling manageable. For very heavy tables, we use furniture dollies and may recommend additional helpers. Timber surfaces are protected from scratches during the process.

Surface protection
Boardroom tables often have expensive veneer or laminate tops. We use furniture blankets during disassembly and recommend professional wrapping for transport. Any scratches or damage identified before we start are documented.
