MALM bed frames use cam locks and a central support beam. We remove headboard, footboard, and side rails in sequence, then handle the slatted base (LURÖY or LÖNSET). For storage MALM beds, we carefully remove the hydraulic mechanism. All pieces are labelled left/right to avoid confusion.
KALLAX shelving
KALLAX units are deceptively simple but surprisingly heavy when assembled. We separate backboards first, then work on the main frame. For large KALLAX configurations (5x5), we may need to use a specific sequence to prevent panels from cracking under their own weight.
BILLY bookcases
BILLY bookcases come apart easily when you know the order. We remove adjustable shelves, fixed shelves (some are cam-locked), then the main pieces. For BILLY with OXBERG glass doors, we remove doors first and wrap glass components separately.
